Abrams, General Manager
A veteran of the educational software industry for over 25 years, Rick has guided the growth of Tom Snyder Productions from a start-up company into one of the leading educational software publishers in the K-12 market. He is a member of the Education Section board of the Software & Information Industry Association. He is an active board member of Educators for Social Responsibility and The Concord Consortium. He is also a corporation member of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Corporation. Rick graduated from Colby College magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He and his wife Susan have three children and live in Lexington, Massachusetts.

Dockterman, Ed.D., Vice President and Chief Academic Officer
David brings a multitude of perspectives - as a teacher, parent, school committee member, and veteran in the educational technology field - to his insights about teachers and technology. A former social studies teacher, David joined Tom Snyder Productions in 1982 while earning his Ed.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He has designed several award-winning products including Science Court; Decisions, Decisions; and The Great Ocean Rescue. David is also a Lecturer on Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. David, his wife Gabrielle, and son live in Carlisle, Massachusetts.

Brian McKean, Director of National Sales
Brian's experience in educational publishing ranges from sales editorial and business development. He joined Tom Snyder Productions in 2002 where he has led the sales team in achieving consistent growth. Throughout a nearly 20-year career with the National Geographic Society, The McGraw-Hill Companies, Jones & Bartlett Publishers, Digital Goods and ProQuest his efforts have focused on launching innovative technology solutions for the education market. He is a member of the Educational Sales Association of New England. Brian earned his MBA from Northeastern University, an MA from Syracuse University and earned a BA from the University of Illinois with highest distinction. He and his wife Cecilia have three children and a beloved dog and live in Stow, Massachusetts.

Christine Sandvik, Director of Product Planning
Christine's extensive experience in video, multimedia and software production provide the background needed to manage the daily operations of the product development team. She joined Tom Snyder Productions in 2005 and immediately helped launch FASTT Math. Prior to joining Tom Snyder Productions she was the Director of Technical Projects at Riverdeep Interactive managing the development of the school products and web site. She spent many years as a web and video producer for cable internet services and television. Christine earned a M.Ed. from Boston University and a B.S. from Cornell University. She and her husband Scott, a music educator, have a son and live in Belmont, Massachusetts.

Eric Hilfer, Director of Software Engineering
Eric has over 30 years of professional experience leading the development of scientific and educational technology products with several companies, including TERC, Team Labs (makers of computer-based laboratory probeware), and several CAD/CAM and aerospace companies, including Mitsubishi Electric, Parametric Technology, and Spatial Technology. He combines the rigor of his background in the hard sciences and industrial software with his long experience in educational research and development to produce top-notch educational software. While working in summer computer camps and as a Special Education classroom teacher earlier in his career, Eric experienced first-hand how thoughtfully constructed, carefully implemented educational technology can empower great teaching and turn students’ lives around. At Tom Snyder Productions, Eric has made it his mission to build a world-class software development organization focused on delivering high quality educational software that really works in the classroom. Eric graduated from Amherst College magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and conducted three years of post-graduate research in experimental physics at the Massachusetts Institute for Technology. He and his wife Carole live in Acton, Massachusetts, where they pursue their love of gardening and living close to nature.
