Professional Development & Implementation Services: Digital Photography in the Classroom

Everybody is buying digital cameras. They are being used in business, at home, and now at school. Why are they so popular? And how can teachers and students benefit from this exciting technology?

Course Description

We offer a choice of four 2.5-hour modules: Photo Editing, Composition, Curriculum Uses, and Camera Operation & Classroom Management. Choose any two modules for a full-day workshop, or combine them all for a 2-day seminar.

In this hands-on training participants are encouraged to explore and ask questions in a supportive environment, so everyone leaves confident in their ability to take photos, edit them, and the create engaging projects . Participants work alone or in pairs on computers and with their cameras. They receive graphical, step-by-step handouts from the book Digital Photography Workshop for Teachers .

Photo Editing

Photo-editing software taught can include Photoshop Elements , iPhoto , ImageBlender , Microsoft Photo Editor , and Simply VR .
